Summary: Why do I have to be the one stuck here spying on them while they work on yet another case? *************************************************** Spy Games by Susan ~~~~ I've never really gotten into the whole spying thing. Sure, I liked sneaking around with my brother and spying on my older sister when we were growing up, but now I find the whole thing rather childish. It's not like I'm going to learn anything about them that I don't already know. So, they love each other. Big deal. All anyone has to do is watch them in a room together for five minutes, and they'd be able to figure it out. But what I haven't figured out is why they haven't slept together yet. Fox was an excellent lover and always more than eager to go another round in the sack, so it's got to be Dana who's holding back. But why? And why do I have to be the one stuck here spying on them as they work on yet another case? Of course, now that I think about it, maybe that's why they haven't gotten together yet. As passionate as Fox was as a lover, he was even more passionate about his work, and that very well could be the one thing that's getting in the way of Dana taking that final step with him. Still, I can't help wondering what the hell is taking her so long. Fox is a beautiful, brilliant, sensitive man, and if I wasn't so tightly wrapped in this spider web of Spender's, I'd go after him again in a heartbeat. After all, he was mine first. Judging from all the files Fox is carrying into her apartment right now, it looks like they're going to be spending the rest of the evening working on that Johannsen case Skinner gave them earlier today. God, don't they ever take time off to do anything fun? If Fox was taking me to my apartment, I'd knock those files out of his hands and have his shirt off before he even had a chance to close the door. Oh well, it's her loss, I suppose. And apparently it's mine too as I've had to waste yet another night spying on two people who clearly don't have a clue. ~~~~ "Is she gone yet?" asked Scully, her eyes taking in the long smooth muscles in his back as he peered through the blinds. He watched the dark sedan drive down the block, then take a right at the stop sign. Satisfied that she wouldn't be coming back, he turned around and looked at the woman waiting for him on the other side of the room. "Yeah, she is," replied Mulder, picking up the stack of files from the chair by the door and setting them on the desk. "Come to bed," she said, her eyes never leaving his as she let her robe drop from her shoulders. Quickly pulling his jeans off, he tossed them on the floor and slid into bed. "I thought she'd never leave," he murmured as his mouth hungrily covered hers. ~end~ *Now you didn't really think I'd let Diana outsmart Mulder and Scully, did you?;) Drop me a line and let me know if I made you smile... susanf34@comcast.net possibilities http://possibilities.bravehost.com/ Originally posted April 2004.
